Celebrating 9 Years of Amplified Group
Phew! Another 12 months have flown by. While the world around us continues to change at pace, our purpose hasn’t.
What started as a mission to change how it feels to work in the tech industry is becoming a reality at a scale we could only have imagined.
The tools, services and conversations may have evolved, but the reason we exist remains the same. We believe that when people feel connected, trusted, safe and able to do their best work, remarkable things happen.
Over the years, we’ve often found ourselves championing ideas that some have dismissed as “soft”. Trust. Collaboration. Psychological safety. Human connection.
But we’ve always believed these things matter because they directly impact performance.
The soft stuff is the new hard stuff
One of the biggest milestones on that journey has been the evolution of the Team Speed Check.
As Five Behaviors® practitioners, we saw first-hand the impact of trust, healthy conflict, commitment, accountability and collective results. But we also recognised a challenge. Leaders needed a way to translate team dynamics into business language and understand how their team’s way of working affected results.
That’s why the Team Speed Check was created, filling this gap.
This year, we’ve taken that another step further by launching our automated Team Speed Check portal, giving leaders the ability to uncover challenges faced by the team and get three actionable accelerators.
Because the reality is this: the things many people call “soft” are measurable. And they have a direct impact on results. We’re now setting our sights on an ambitious goal: impacting 1,000 teams across the technology industry.
Part of that journey is the development of the GTM Team Index, giving us richer insight into what high-performing teams do differently and helping organisations benchmark themselves against the best.
Alongside this, we’re developing a team maturity model that will enable leaders to understand where their team is today, access practical insights and accelerators, and continuously improve their Team Speed score over time.
We’re standing on the precipice of something significant, and we can feel the change happening.
As AI continues to reshape industries, roles and ways of working, taking time to focus on your team has never been more important. The organisations that will thrive won’t simply be those with the best technology. They’ll be the ones with teams that can adapt, learn and perform together, no matter what challenge lands next.
That’s the future we’re building towards.

- Reached 100 episodes of the Get Amplified podcast
