Eight Years of Amplifying What Matters Most: People, Purpose, and Performance

By Vicky Reddington, Co-founder of Amplified Group

It was never about just launching a business. It was about changing the way it feels to work in tech.

And now, eight years on, we love seeing the teams we work with thrive even when the going gets tough.

After working with hundreds of go-to-market teams across the tech industry we know what the highest-performing teams have in common. But it’s not just our insight and formula for speed of execution that makes the difference, it’s the way we engage.

Why? Because we’ve been in your shoes. We know the pressure to deliver. The friction between teams. The cost of confusing communication and unaligned goals. And we also know, it doesn’t have to be that way.

Amplified Group was born out of a deep frustration and a belief that things could be better. Like many of you, I’ve worked in high-pressure, high-growth tech environments where success often came at the cost of our wellbeing, trust, and team spirit.

We’re supposed to love what we do. So why does it so often feel like we’re just surviving it?

My Aha Moment

I’d been at a company for a while and was offered a new opportunity. On paper, it was a dream job. Incredible company, cutting-edge products, smart people. But inside the day-to-day, something felt off. We were slowing down. Siloed. Always “on.” The pressure to hit the number. The internal politics. The lack of real conversations.

We were meant to be one team, but it felt like every person for themselves.

I felt the Sunday night dread and questioned why I stayed in my role. I witnessed brilliant people walk away, not because they didn’t care, but because it simply became too hard to keep caring.

From Pain to Purpose

When attrition in our industry still sits at around 30%, that’s not just a stat, it’s a cry for help.

It shouldn’t be this way.

That’s where the Amplified Group began. With a belief that tech teams can thrive, not just survive. That we can create an environment where everyone feels supported, valued, and able to enjoy what they do.

We knew there had to be a better way. A way to make high-performing teams feel like safe, energised, empowering places to be. Where clarity, trust, and shared purpose aren’t just buzzwords, they’re at the heart of how you work.

So we set out to build something different.

Not another “transformation project.” Not another “off-the-shelf solution.” But a movement to change the lived experience of working in tech.

Vicky quote for 8th Anniversary Blog

Painkillers or Pilates?

A lot of what companies reach for when things go wrong are quick fixes. We call them painkillers. The urgent firefighting. The new tool. The reorg. The away day. And while those might give short-term relief, they rarely address the root of the issue.

We believe in something different. The “Pilates” approach. Strengthening from the core. Building muscle memory as a team. Creating the foundations so that when the pressure comes (and in tech, it always does) you’re ready, together.

Because when your team experience is strong, everything changes. Work becomes a place of growth, not burnout. People stay. Innovation flows. Trust builds. Results follow.

We’ve Walked in Your Shoes

We don’t show up with theory. We show up with empathy. Everyone on our team has sat where you sit. We know what it’s like to be under pressure. To be a manager holding everything together. To be a leader trying to make change stick.

And we’re here to help. Not by doing the work for you, but by being your team coach.

Let’s Redefine the Tech Experience

We’re on a mission to make the tech industry a better place to work. To help teams speed up by slowing down. That may sound counter intuitive, but you have to get the fundamentals right. Purpose. Trust. Clarity. Simplicity.

The good news? We’ve seen it work. With some of the most successful tech companies out there. The spark that comes back into a team’s eyes. The shift from dread to drive. From chaos to cohesion.

If you’re reading this and nodding, if you know that pain, then it’s important that you know this: you’re not alone. And it doesn’t have to stay that way.

Let’s change the story.

Let’s change the experience.

Let’s change how it feels to work in tech.
