Amplified Group today announced 400 percent revenue growth in the 1H 2022 compared to 1H 2021, due to an increase in clients within the tech industry. Through industry wide Team Speed Checks, two key development areas have been identified to enable organisations to execute faster.

The majority of new clients are visionaries within the Gartner Magic Quadrant.

A focus on people to build a sustainable culture is crucial to address the common challenges of namely, employee retention, and new hire productivity.
Tech Organisations are using the Amplified Group’s 3-minute Team Speed Check to gain insights and identify areas for development. This is important because teams that work well together are stronger and more successful, create loyal employees, help new team members onboard faster, and ultimately enable the business to execute faster.
Conducted with 40 teams during the last 12 months, the Speed Check found on average companies baseline 10 points below best practice in terms of speed to market. The biggest inhibitors were Trust and Clarity.
The results show that organisations must not get complacent with building and maintaining their culture. It needs constant attention. The Speed Check is based on four foundational elements of purpose, trust, clarity, and simplicity. If an organisation can get this right, their speed to market is greatly improved and creates a competitive advantage.
Trust within teams requires greater focus. Google* identifies psychological safety as the top dynamic of an effective team. It doesn’t matter so much who is on the team, but about how the team works together. Without a foundation of trust to allow psychological safety, people are not able to say what they think, ask for help, or able to take risks.
Clarity is an interesting area to examine. Working with sales teams, it is apparent people are clear on what needs to be done but commitment is low. This could be due to a ‘command and control’ approach verses ‘empower and enable.’ Team engagements have shown that very often an execution plan is missing. Sales leaders should not be led by the revenue goal as ‘The Plan’ but ensure the team are clear on what is required, that everyone has a voice, and that there is commitment.
The good news is that each of the four elements can be addressed through a conscious effort on team dynamics.
