Team Tool Objective

Take the guesswork out of getting to know each other.

This is a powerful collaboration tool to help get to know each other and speed up some of the practicalities of working together. It accelerates team effectiveness, by bringing to the conscious things we usually guess at and never talk about.

Most importantly, we start to see our colleagues as human beings with a life outside of work, rather than just a colleague with business goals.

These guides can also be used by your colleagues to understand who they will be meeting prior to arriving at internal meetings.

How to Use

There are so many ways to use the Working With Me Guide

  • Managers: use it to share with your teams on how each team member likes to work
  • Team members: share with each other and across teams to get to know each other better and build bonds
  • For meeting prep: if you have a meeting with someone you haven’t worked with before, or don’t know very well, review their guide

Note: Agree internally where these will be stored so they can be readily accessed by anyone in the team.

Talking points

Ask the team to see how many things they have in common based on other team member’s Profiler.

Having a conversation around things in common is a natural, easy icebreaker and can build a good rapport very quickly not only in the meeting but afterwards too.

  • Identify what do you have in common?
  • What have you learnt about each other?

What Our Clients Say

Love tools like this. At Drata we call it “Working Styles” but same principle – a blueprint to how best communicate with each other. To amplify the power of your team why wouldn’t you do this ! It also compliments any work you do with DiSC and similar analysis tools. We worked with Amplified Group to help put these into practice and highly recommend for all people leaders.” – Andy Bryars, Director Customer Success Group EMEA at Drata

Awesome tool!” – Adam Stanley, MD at Event Concept
