It’s been a very busy month at Amplified Group. From Dublin to Manchester to Bangkok, we’ve seen some phenomenal people joining together to create team power houses.
We noticed that they all have something in common. They don’t leave teamwork to chance!
They put as much effort into creating the best team experience as they do the customer experience and the user experience.
The Secret Behind a Sustainable High Performing Team
We consistently see a direct correlation between teams which place a deliberate focus on how they work together and high performance.
We say that those teams have TeamX™ and recently we’ve been witnessing first hand teams that have energy, passion, resilience and belief in what they do.

Members of teams with great TeamX tell us:
“I know recognition will go where it should go”
“When I’m frazzled, teammates offer their help without hesitation”
“I can’t imagine working anywhere else”
“Our team is a talent magnet; everyone wants to join us”
Put Team Experience First
“Clients do not come first. Employees come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of the clients.” – Sir Richard Branson
When we have a great team experience – we call it TeamX™ – we can:
- Join forces across the organisation to be one team
- Unleash our collective strength
- Collaborate behind one shared vision to deliver THE PLAN
- Accelerate our productivity to outperform competitors

Andy Wills, EMEA Sales Enablement Director at Dynatrace has seen the power of TeamX in action. As he says;
“We’ve seen real evidence that when individuals operate as a team and collaborate and communicate with purpose and clarity and simplicity, those are the highest performing groups and that’s been super, super powerful for us.”
So how do you get TeamX?
The good news is, gaining TeamX is a learnable skillset. We believe that anyone can create a thriving team with the right approach. But as with any business plan, the team focus also has to be deliberate and intentional.

Having the Right People on Your Team
Having the right people on your team is paramount. It’s not just about skills, it’s about shared values and the right attitude. As we discussed with AI Pioneer and author, Reddy Mallidi, attitude over aptitude will become more important than ever.

Hire Based on Attitude
There’s a great book by Patrick Lencioni about hiring the right kind of people. In his book ‘The Ideal Team Player’ Patrick highlights three crucial virtues: humble, hungry and smart.
These qualities distinguish exceptional team members and contribute to high-performance teams. As with all of Patrick’s book, it’s an easy read.
Simon Sinek illustrates in his Navy SEAL story, even the most talented individual can be detrimental to a team if they lack trust. While they may be high-performing, they often create a toxic work environment that affects long-term success.
When we run a Team Acceleration workshop, we ask everyone to map out their career paths. What’s fascinating to see is that our most significant professional moments are inextricably linked to the people we’ve worked with.
A strong team can amplify individual strengths and mitigate weaknesses.
