Building a High-Performing Team of Teams: When Sales Leaders Stop Guessing

What separates high-performing leadership teams from the rest? Often, it’s not just talent, strategy, or experience. It’s their ability to understand what is helping them move faster. When sales leaders stop guessing and start using data to understand team dynamics, they can focus their efforts where they’ll have the greatest impact.

When Sales Leaders Stop Guessing, Teams Move Faster

Recently, Splunk’s Eastern European sales leadership team worked with Strategic Sales and Enablement Advisor Clem Kander to do exactly that. Using Amplified Group’s Team Speed Check and Team Accelerators, the team explored the dynamics shaping their effectiveness as a leadership team.

The Team Speed Check data, which measures the core elements of a high performing team – purpose, trust, clarity, and simplicity – highlighted where the team was strongest and where collaboration was being slowed down. From there, leaders focused on the areas that would have the biggest impact, including trust, communication styles, and leadership behaviours.

Using exercises based on Patrick Lencioni’s Five Dysfunctions of a Team framework, the group explored how greater trust creates the foundations for healthy debate, stronger decision-making, and shared success.

As Clem Kander, Strategic Sales & Enablement Advisor at Splunk, reflected:

The Speed Check data surfaced where the ‘Team of Teams’ was strongest and where commitment was being slowed down.”

For Amplified Group, this is exactly why we created Team Speed Check. Rather than guessing what needs attention, teams can use data to identify the behaviours and dynamics that matter most, then take focused action to improve performance.

As our co-founder Vic Reddington said:

This is why we do what we do. Just thrilled to see Amplified Group’s Speed Check and Team Accelerators scaling and having impact in Splunk.”

Building a high-performing team of teams is a journey, not a one-off event. The strongest teams continuously learn, adapt, and work on the relationships that drive great results.

Ready to stop guessing?

Take the Team Speed Check and discover the strengths, blind spots, and opportunities that are shaping your team’s performance. In just a few minutes, you’ll gain practical insights to help your team move faster, collaborate better, and deliver stronger results.
